Four things you’ll learn about the Lumin Smart Panel during RE+

Lumin at RE+

North America’s largest clean energy event,  RE+, is just weeks away. This year, it’s in Anaheim, California from September 9-12. Lumin will be bringing several members of our team to talk to attendees about responsive load management and how it is a simple and affordable solution to many of the challenges homeowners face when it comes to managing their energy.

You can find us in Exhibit Hall D, booth 22061 to get a closer look at the inner workings of one of our leading solution—the Lumin Smart Panel. Whether you’re looking for a new product to offer homeowners or need to freshen up on your sales tactics, we’ve compiled four things you can expect when you drop by.

Meet the Lumin Smart Panel

Looking for a way to serve homeowners with a simplified home energy management system, Lumin designed the only retrofit-ready, universally compatible add-on smart panel on the market. It’s one thing that really sets us apart from the competition. The Lumin Smart panel comes pre-wired and boasts a simple installation process to provide quick and easy service. As you’ve probably already guessed, it will be on full display during RE+ where you can get a close and personal look of how it works in tandem with an electrical panel.

So why does a smart panel belong at a clean energy event? At Lumin, we believe that energy management systems are an essential part of the home ecosystem. Because the Lumin Smart Panels controls everything at the circuit level, homeowners are able to fully optimize their solar + storage systems by automating load management. This helps them get even more out of their energy investment. Better than a protected loads panel, the Lumin Smart Panel grants homeowners access to multiple circuits in their home where they can prioritize to continuously power what matters most and extend their solar battery’s runtime. The system offers total flexibility because we know what the homeowner considers an essential appliance can change at any time.

Learn about existing and upcoming battery integrations

The Lumin Smart Panel integrates with all Tesla Powerwall batteries, SolarEdge and Enphase for battery state of charge. And that’s just the beginning. There are more integrations on the horizon. So, stop by the booth for a sneak peek at RE+.

State of charge integration is integral in ensuring that our homeowners get the most out of their battery life. The integration enables the Lumin Smart Panel to automatically read and respond to the battery’s state of charge. Through the Lumin app, homeowners can set custom battery state of charge settings for the various loads in their home. This helps them further prioritize what’s most important to them by designating how much of their remaining battery power they want to direct towards specific loads. When the battery capacity hits the predetermined threshold set in the app, the load will temporarily shed until enough power is once again available to reengage it.

Interact with the Lumin app

The Lumin app is the key that enables homeowners to monitor and manage their energy. It works with the Lumin Smart Panel to give homeowners circuit-level control. With the app, homeowners can prioritize their loads based on what they deem as essential, optional and undesired when the power goes out. When the power grid is down, the Lumin Smart Panel uses Smart Power Mode to automatically monitor the backup power supply and determine what loads to shed to extend its runtime as long as possible. These loads shed in order of the priority the homeowner sets in the app, while also considering custom battery state of charges settings. Within Smart Power Mode, homeowners can also set the maximum amount of wattage they want to use throughout the day which can help extend battery runtime or limit the amount of power pulled from the power grid.

Getting homeowners comfortably through a power outage isn’t all the Lumin app can do. Homeowners can also:

  • Schedule circuits to power on or off throughout the day to reduce utility fees or maximize net energy metering credits.
  • Manage loads to reduce dependence on the power grid.
  • Get a detailed view of your energy consumption with our analytics dashboard.

At RE+ you can interact directly with the Lumin app to explore its capabilities and test out its various features.

Catch up on sales best practices

One of the most valuable takeaways RE+ attendees can walk away with is knowledge, especially when it involves sales. We know none of this is relevant if you don’t have the tools to sell the product. Luckily, we have you covered there too. Our sales team has decades of experience in the clean energy sector and can offer advice to help you increase close rates with solar + storage projects. We believe adding a Lumin Smart Panel to an energy storage system is a no-brainer, and we can help you message that to customers.

As you can see, there are plenty of reasons to find yourself at booth 22061 during RE+. But if you simply can’t wait to chat or won’t be able to attend, our team can be reached at [email protected]. There, we can answer any questions you have or set up a call for you to learn more.
